» Japan’s Ministry of Education Promises Support for KKU’s Development (1443 Views)

On February 8, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Trairatanasirichai, President of Khon Kaen University; Prof. Dr. Kanok Wongtra-ngan, Former Vice President of Khon Kaen Council and a former member of the House of Representative; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phanthongwiriyakul (MD), Dean of Faculty of Medicine; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Monchai Duangchinda, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Apirat Siritaratiwat, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kulthida Tuamsuk, Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha, Dean of Faculty of Education met with Mr. Koichi Morimoto, Director General, Ministry of Education, Sports, Culture, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan to report the progress of the collaboration between Khon Kaen University, Tsukuba University and the National Center for Teacher Development (NCTD) and other Ministry’s organizations. On this occasion, the Thai delegation thanked MEXT for the collaborative assistance provided for Khon Kaen University. Khon Kaen University has further extended collaborations with Tsukuba University and with countries in the Mekong Subregion including Cambodia, Laos, Burma and Vietnam. Mr. Koichi Morimoto also reiterated to confirm to the Khon Kaen University administrators that MEXT will support academic collaborations that will lead to problem solutions in Thailand and Japan.
