» KKU welcomes delegates from University College Cork, Ireland (1421 Views)

On March 22, 2017, Professor David Kerins, Chair, ASEAN Regional Working Group & Professor of Therapeutics and Dr. Christopher Shepard, Strategy Office, International Office from the University College Cork (UCC), Ireland visited KKU. They were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai, President of Khon Kaen University together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Teekayu Plangkoon Jorns, Assistant to the President for International Relations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Somkiat Srijaranai, Dean, Dr. Uthumporn Domthong, Assistant Dean for Research and International Relations, and a lecturer (UCC Alumni), the Faculty of Science along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Kwankate Kanistanon, Associate Dean for Student Development, International College. The delegates visited KKU for strengthening relationship and discussing collaborative expansion between University College Cork, Ireland and Khon Kaen University in fields of humanities and social sciences, health science, and technology such as student and staff exchanges, research, and scholarships because KKU is the top education hub in Northeastern part of Thailand. KKU also focuses on research and knowledge transfer. Moreover, many lecturers from the Faculty of Science are alumni of University of Cork, and they will be the key persons for building and supporting future collaborations.
