» KKU students win Infographic Contest of ONCB (1144 Views)

On July 4, 2017, Miss Sasina Nonkhukhethong and Mr. Tanaphon Deenok, the 3rd year students from Art Education Major, the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University were awarded a prize money of 50,000 Baht on winning their First prize in the Infographic Contest under the 19-years old category at the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), Bangkok. The prize included a trophy and certificate. The work submitted to the contest was part of the course, “Computer Graphic”, and it was sent under the name of the Faculty of Education. This course is under the program major in art education and the course is taught by Ajarn Khem Khenkhok, the regular course teacher.   

The Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), Ministry of Justice, as the central organization with duties to campaign for narcotics combating, organized an infographic and video clip contest under the theme: “Who Uses It, Who Becomes Ill”. The objective is to build an awareness among citizens of access to drug addiction therapy. The event was held on the occasion of the 2017 International Day Against Drug Abuse (June 26 of every year), Narcotics Suppression Day under the caption, “Doing good for Father, carry on drug problem solution”. This is also to commemorate the grace of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The target group includes youths and people in general. The campaign is for them to perceive and understand the policy and operations on drug abuse suppression of the Government, so that they will participate in the campaign. It is hoped that people connected to drug addiction would participate in the campaign and encourage for those addicted to enter the drug treatment process.
