On August 18, 2017, the International Relations Division, KKU organized the International Student Orientation 2017 at the Graduate School Meeting Room. This event aimed to welcome new international students and provide essential information about student services available at various departments in KKU. The event also became a platform for new students to know each other, exchange ideas, and make friends with students from other countries.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Collaboration presided over the opening ceremony and gave a welcome speech to the students. The activities in the event included the introduction of lecturers and staff from IRD, along with the staff in charge of student services, and lecturers from Graduate School, Bureau of Academic Administration and Development, and Bureau of Information Technology. The information sessions were about university life as international students at KKU, VISA extensions, health insurances, international activities, followed by campus and city tour. Eighty four international students attended the International Student Orientation 2017 from Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Kenya, Laos, Indonesia, Japan, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
