On August 25, 2017, Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Communications, Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapansak Chaveerach, Director, Office of Registrar, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sumana Neera, Assoc. Director for Academic Affairs, Ms. Netdao Chamroendararasmee, Acting Director of International Relations Division, together with the International Relations Division staff welcomed Mr. Hitoshi Executive Vice President, Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, Japanese Corporate, Bangkok, along with two delegates on their first visit to KKU. The objective of their visit was to put forward their idea of Industry-University Cooperation between Japan and Thailand. To promote and support this idea, Mr. Hitoshi expressed his desire to mediate for KKU between Japanese companies and educational institutions in Thailand and in Japan towards the prospective of exploring the funding possibilities and opportunities of mutual benefits towards achieving the target of Industry-University Cooperation. The main areas of their focus was on 1) Internship acceptance by Japanese Companies both in Thailand and Japan, 2) Exchange Student Program, 3) Joint Research for New Technology by University and Company, and 4) Joint Research for New Technology by Thai University and Japanese University. The KKU administrators appreciated the idea and expressed their desire to explore possible pathways of collaboration and thanked the delegates for their visit to KKU.
