» KKU discusses collaboration with delegates from the Kumamoto Health Science University, Japan (1920 Views)

On September 18, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nawarat Wara-aswapati Charoen,Vice President for International Affairs, together with the Deans of three faculties; Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, and Faculty of Nursing, and their accompanying administrators welcomed Dr. Tatsuro Sakimoto, President, Kumamoto Health Science University, Japan and his delegates who accompanied him here.

The President of KKU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai also gave a brief visit and exchanged pleasantries with the visiting President of Kumamoto Health Science University before the meeting started, he wished him well and expressed his appreciation and support for existing and future collaborations and partnerships with their university.

The aim of their visit was to further consolidate their relationship with KKU, Thailand by renewing and continuing existing partnerships and collaborations between both universities. The representatives of both the university discussed about continuing the students exchanges of both Japanese and Thai students and also proposed more longer duration of stay for students so that they can absorb themselves into culture of the host country and practice their skills more effectively beyond cultural barriers. They also talked about academic staff exchanges, collaborative research in mutually beneficial study areas, and proposed university level memorandums to have an umbrella effect to cover more faculties with related studies and research fields.

Kumamoto Health Science University  is a private university in Kumamoto, Japan that was established in 2003 and since then has the tradition of academic excellence and strong focus on student experience. Dr. Sakimoto, President of Kumamoto Health Science University has a long term successful relationship with KKU from his previous visits and MOUs with our university during his tenure as the President of Kumamoto University. He expressed his happiness with the long relationship with KKU in the past years and put forward his desire of continuing this relationship with further collaborations and partnerships.
