The aim of their visit was to explore collaborative relationship with KKU, Thailand by building new partnerships and collaborations through establishing a process that will pave the path for students exchanges and language and cultural activities towards promoting and building strong international relations. The representatives of both sides discussed about students coming from the U.S. to KKU to do short term credit based courses that are either offered by KKU International Programs or they can intoduced their USAC tailor-made courses to be taught here, that will give a reciprocal exposure to students to interact with each other every year and Thai students may also get a chance to do short term course in USA offered by USAC to fit their curriculum. USAC Director, also suggested that if this idea is acceptable then they would like to open and maintain a fully staffed small USAC office in KKU campus. This will give opportunities to undergraduate U.S. students to absorb themselves into culture of the host country Thailand. The representatives also exchanged views about offering Thai language and cultural courses for U.S. students coming here and American culture and history courses by USAC for Thai students, to know more about their respective countries. They also discussed about possible exchange programs. The KKU administrator, thanked them for their visit and assured KKU will be a good destination for their students and offered their support for such mutually beneficial venture.

USAC is a non-profit consortium of 33 US universites. The Consortium Affiliate Universities serve a governance and strategic role for USAC, such as approving curriculum and issuing transcripts for USAC Specialty programs.
